Helmut Guth was born in the Black Forest in 1953.
Alongside his training as a photo-lithographer and during his studies as a graphic art engineer, he also attended courses in drawing and painting.
Guth expresses silent observation in his imaginary images, which come over with a feel of clean-cut realism. His paintings are alive in their own particular atmosphere of rigorous construction, so dear to the artist, where the focus is on the essential.
From a non-indulging perspective, Helmut Guth aspires to clarity and reflection, inviting the spectators to interpret his images with their own sensitivity and through the filter of their own experiences.
Guth regularly exhibits in Switzerland, France and Germany.
